Problem/Opportunity

The client has been in operation for about 5 years now. The main line of focus is resource process outsourcing for their clients on all cadres including junior/mid/senior level professionals. There is a platform that is primarily in use by internal staff for managing the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) Flow. The management is posed with various issues such as: long mean time for closing positions; quality of hires; IT platform being managed by an external vendor and is not keeping up with the agility that the business requires. Also there is no proper visibility and statistics to the business on their operations and take necessary actions.

Outcome

DC is entrusted as the chief technology partner to take care the entire IT needs for the organization. With the help of a core team, IT is closely aligned with business agility. Many more partners are included in the platform such as candidates, recruitment partners and enterprise clients. Process flow is streamlined with cross cutting functions between these various stakeholders. Several intelligent AI features are introduced such as resume parsers and screening of candidates. With these the numbers of quality placements have been increased by 10 fold to its clients. We have been able to transform the organization from a service based one to a product-tech enabled organization.

Execution

The CTO formed a team consisting of product, tech and QA members.   The strategy was not to build all the features in-house but rather integrate with third party software and solutions for the short to the near term. Evaluation and choice of various products with features such as resume parsers, AI based interview taker for written/oral based; pdf mergers; helper for interviews in notes taking, summarizing the interviews with scoring criteria were done. The platform was built using MS.NET Core 3, MS SQL/Mongo DB as the backend DB, with MS Azure being used for Cloud Platform and Services. Apache Superset was used to create dashboards and reports for management usage.
