Problem/Opportunity

A US Based Health Care Portal with a conglomerate of various products such as Hospital, Clinics, Physician profiles. The client wishes to expand its product portfolio with many more products such as Non-For-Profit (NFP) Profiles, community circles based on health conditions. The client was looking for a captive resource outsourcing center based in India Location. This was to primarily reduce costs and move away from its only primary IT vendor based in a East European location.

Outcome

DC is entrusted as the chief technology partner to take care of its India based operations. A team was instantiated in India and several products were successfully developed, implemented and integrated with other products within the portal. The number of active users within the portal would be anywhere between 1 and 1.2 million. The costs for the company with DC undertaking the projects were reduced by 50%.

Execution

The CTO formed a captive outsourced team consisting of tech and QA members. The web systems were developed using Python Django Framework and MYSQL as the backend Database. WagTail CRM was used for content management with customized interface developed between CRM and Django Portals.
