Problem/Opportunity
The vision of the company is to provide organized efforts to make quality dental care affordable to all. With a large number of dentists empaneled across the country, the system would provide a dental management system with standard network based pricing of various dental procedures.
The IT systems development has been outsourced to a third party, and the costs (vendor costs, internal IT team costs, Infrastructure) has been escalating. There is a lack of a CRM where agents can record their work and performances can be measured effectively. The management seeks to get control over the cost escalation and bring better alignment with business.
Outcome
DC is entrusted as the chief technology partner to take care of the entire IT needs for the organization. The development work was brought in-house with a core small team of developers. The costs were brought to a minimum. The IT has been functioning as a profit center with a detailed monitoring of the resources that is being used by external clients as well as internal users.
Web systems, cross platform mobile apps were developed for the providers with features that allow the doctors’ appointment management, record treatment and procedure, standardized prices for procedures based on the network, advanced AI features for Xray disease classifications etc. Also there are web/mobile apps developed for patient and member usages.
We have an increase of 20% year on year on the number of app downloads and web development usage.
There is also an internal CRM portal developed with customized feature set that meets the internal user needs. An admin feature for easily configuration of features based on TPA needs is also developed.
Execution
The CTO formed a team consisting of product, tech and QA members with a complete takeover from the third party vendor. In order for a jump start on the CRM, the vTiger CRM was implemented across the organization (which was later replaced with a custom developed CRM in-house). The web systems were developed using PHP CI3.0/4.0 frameworks with mySQL as the DB. Mobile apps were developed using Flutter technology.
